Lexus of Highland Park Welcomes American Heritage Motorcycles
The Fields Fiat dealership in Highland Park is undergoing a major remodeling and will reopen in June as an Indian Motorcycle and Victory Motorcycles dealership, the fifth location of American Heritage Motorcycles in South Elgin. The new dealership will be located at 250 Skokie Valley Road. Lexus of Highland Park welcome’s you to the neighborhood!
American Heritage Motorcycles, a privately held company, has been expanding since its founding in 2013, adding new locations in Cincinnati and Ohio. The company is dedicated to creating service-oriented dealerships that offer a wide selection of Indian and Victory motorcycle brands, which are manufactured by Polaris Industries in the Minneapolis exurb of Medina, Minnesota.
“We are excited and proud to be coming back home to Chicago to open our new Highland Park location,” Rob McNish, CEO of AHM, said. “ We’re calling our new store AHM CrossRoads as a nod to Chicago’s long-standing leadership in all modes of transportation, and the fact that Highland Park is perfectly situated within easy reach from all over Chicagoland.”
According to their website, Indian Motorcycles have been in a state of “rebirth” that started in 2013 with the reveal of the Thunder Stroke 111 engine at Daytona Bike Week, and with the unveiling of the Indian Chief motorcycle at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in 2014. Indian Motorcycles recently released a retro streamliner called The Spirit of Munro as a tribute to Burt Munro, who made history by setting a land speed record on the Bonneville Salt Flats in his self-modified 1920 Indian Scout, a record that still stands today.
Since 2013, American Heritage Motorcycles has boasted a large in-house stock of Indian motorcycles at their home base in South Elgin, from the 2015 Indian Chieftan to the retro-style 2015 Indian Chief Vintage cruiser, along with a slightly smaller stock of Victory motorcycles, from the 2015 Victory Ness Magnum to the 2015 Victory Cross Country Tour.
