All-New Lexus SUV Model Coming Soon
Lexus Looks to an All-New SUV Entry
As many Lexus fans and automotive industry regulars already know well, the luxury stalwart has been putting a lot of focused energy into meeting the modern demand for a variety of vehicles over the last decade and a half, both in terms of function and design. After years of building a respected name in luxury sedans, Lexus continues to deliver innovative designs not only in that familiar comfort zone, but more and more in the popular and highly competitive crossover and SUV markets. As more of these vehicles become geared toward entry-level buyers now that the market is stocked with an increasing variety of designs and requiring of more diversity in serving wider demographics, the time has arguably never been better for buyers to look toward the option of ‘alternative luxury,’ and Lexus is looking to be first on the list with some exciting new work.
We say ‘arguably’ because, judging by recently revealed details from some watchful automotive journalists, Lexus is also finalizing plans to release an all-new SUV model soon. Based on up-to-date research, the company has just trademarked some new designs and configurations, making it clear that an impending arrival is at hand one way or another. Considering the current lineup of available Lexus models, the new entry is currently anticipated to arrive in the hopes of offering customers an enticing option for considering a new entry-level luxury utility vehicle, joining in the aforementioned expansion of the markets served by the luxury utility segment. Speculation abounds as to what else Lexus may be planning, but for the time being, speculation may indeed be all that we have to go on. Still, plenty of evidence exists to help get a handle on just what may be afoot!
In addition to the speculation that Lexus is looking to offer an affordable new utility option, the currently-named UX series, which includes three likely powertrain-oriented denominations so far, critics have also recently been anticipating a move from Lexus that will allow it to present a spacious, three-row/seven-seat utility option to markets looking for more affordable options beyond the higher-priced options already available. In this role, a more economical large SUV from Lexus would be positioned to compete directly with other higher-priced options like the Audi Q7 and Infiniti QX60. Luxury crossover fans can be glad for the arrival in one way or another, at least, as the decided expansion of the luxury utility market is sure to only invite more innovative work on a number of related levels.
While the final details are yet to emerge officially and may indeed still prove surprising in relation to the assumptions emerging from the usual rumor mill, it’s sure at least that Lexus has got something exciting well on the way to customers. Further rumors continue to speculate as to wildly varying possibilities, so as the official plans are likely to be announced some time in the near future, the only way to find out what’s coming is not to miss out on the news to come right here at Lexus of Highland Park. We’ll be on point to let you know what’s up, and of course, we’ll be ready in the meantime to help familiarize you with all of the accommodating options currently available from Lexus!
