About the The Highland Park Public Library
The Highland Park Public Library has made significant contributions to the community and its patrons since 1888. In fact, it was the citizens of Highland Park who petitioned the local government for the opening of a public library almost 130 years ago.
It quickly grew from a circulation of 400 books to hosting story-telling sessions, operating a “open shelve” system, giving rise to self-checkout, and adopting reference and research services.
Since its founding, the library’s mission has been to enrich the community of Highland Park by circulating ideas, information, and technology.
The Highland Park Public Library, librarians, and, friends endeavor to be known as a trendsetter in expanding learning and discovery in the Chicago area.
Lexus of Highland Park is proud to be a part of the Highland Park community. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by our dealership for the best deals on our quality selection of Lexus vehicles.
