Lexus Debuts their New Lexus Difference Program
Purchasing a car can be intimidating for any buyer, but recently, Lexus has noticed that this can be even more of a problem for female, millennial, and multicultural buyers. So the brand has decided to change that with the announcement of their new program called the Lexus Difference in order to turn the car buying experience from daunting to exciting.

Last year, the new Lexus Difference program was initiated in seven dealerships across the country, but with the advent of 2015 it is now available to all Lexus outlets.
The ultimate goal of the program is to fundamentally redesign the dealership experience, from customer interaction to the overall culture inside their dealerships.
The Lexus Difference program focuses on points like employee training, uniform upgrades, and overall dealership atmosphere. The changes are even minutely specific, like the brand’s collaboration with a Japanese perfume company to develop a signature scent to keep dealerships smelling less cars and a little more welcoming – like the scents in the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons.
But they aren’t stopping there. Waiting rooms are also to be made more welcoming for all demographics, with diverse magazine and tv channel selections. Some dealers could even offer yoga and spa treatments for their customers. This could mean that while your car gets an oil change you could be getting a massage – talk about making car service a lot more enjoyable!
Although there are many points of focus in the new program, one overall theme remains – making all customers more comfortable during what could be a stressful experience. “I don’t want it to be a program,” says Lexus’s vice president of customer service Peggy Turner. “This is going to be a culture.”
