Keeping Up With the Crossover Hype by Introducing the 2018 Lexus NX
Last Spring, the Chicago Tribune wrote a piece highlighting the increased likeliness of compact car models over sedans- is it possible they could overtake their popularity? General Manager of Lexus, Jeff Bracken, told them no. The difference between the two is the makeup- while a crossover is built on a unibody platform, a sedan has a more truck-like basis.
It’s really a personal choice, one based on your lifestyle and how many people you usually have in the car with you. In the heat of this crossover trend, Lexus is debuting a brand new 2018 NX model to keep up with their new trend of hybrids and the love they’ve received from recent crossover models. Lexus has had much success with hybrids, and there’s no doubt this NX model will have the same type of revenue. Buying a car is like buying a mattress or a good pair of shoes, except a lot more serious because safety is a huge part of the purchase. But like a mattress or a pair of shoes, you’re going to use it every day, making it worth every penny you put into it.
The 2018 Lexus NX will have 194 level horsepower, goes 0-60 in 9.1 seconds, and has a 31 combined MPG rating. It, of course, comes in three different versions, the NX 300h, the NX 300, and the NX 300 F Sport. All technology in the car is up to date, providing 24-hour response services, navigation, even sport and stock updates. Lexus has created the iPhone of cars, and it keeps getting better with every update. Something truly awesome about all of their new models is the Drive Mode Select, which Lexus describes the technology as something that
“enables you to make your vehicle more responsive or efficient with a simple turn of a dial. Sport mode alters the powertrain for faster and more dynamic throttle response. Normal mode provides the optimal balance of fuel efficiency and engine performance. ECO mode moderates the throttle response, engine power output and climate settings for increased fuel efficiency.”
Another key feature Lexus highlighted about the 2018 NX is the 2.0 L turbo engine and the ‘innovative versatility’- performance and convenience are insured with a sturdy motor and Power Rear Door with Kick Sensor.
If you’re not aware already, Lexus has some crazy-good owner benefits. One could say that you hold on to Lexus after you make a purchase from them, constantly being rewarded for buying a reliable vehicle.
